PILOT LINE DETECTION
GW-S detector heads are used in fixed fire protection deluge systems. The detector head is typically fitted in the pilot line of the deluge valve detection system. When exposed to heat from a fire, the heat-sensitive glass bulb shatters and the detector head goes open. The activated detector releases compressed air from the pilot line, causing a pressure drop which will trip the deluge valve to go open and discharge water through all open spray nozzles to extinguish/control the fire.
